How many cockerels do you see?

Unfortunately they will fight, and likely over mate the poor girl. Is there any way you can get more pullets?
Yes but I’m not sure where to get them and I don’t want to raise them from babies again. For one you can’t tell what the chicks are for sure until they’re older and I don’t want anymore surprises. And I don’t know where to get younger positive pullets.

and I don’t want very man hens. Maybe 5-6 at the most is all I need.

Weird, those do not look like 3 month old cockerels to me. Plus wouldn't they usually all be crowing and attempting mating by that age?
If everyone else is positive they are boys then I'm probably wrong. I do have both of those breeds (pullets only) but I don't have much experience differentiating genders with them.

The yellow one has the rooster tail feathers and red comb and wattles and the oily pointed hackle feathers. That’s the only way I know the difference going by what I’ve been told

I’m not sure what defining characteristics makes the black one a rooster.. I have a Black Sex link that’s huge and got red comb and wattles fast and is for sure a rooster. The barred rock in my last photo is not as big and it’s comb and wattle is not full red.. still faded color. But very nosy and outgoing. I’m not sure why people think it’s a rooster other than the tail feathers and the barred coloring and comb and wattles

All cockerels. One Barred Rock, one Black Sex Link, and one Production Red

If you have no ladies, you can have a rooster flock! Keep them all! 💜 Unless laws don't allow you.
@chrissynemetz i can have roosters but wanted hens. I Don’t want to have to deal with worrying about roosters attacking each other or hens. I wanted eggs.

@ReadingRAEnBo i really want hens and eggs. Don’t want to deal with rooster aggression

my neighbor gave me a hen that roams around and my yellow one is starting to chase her off and it worries me they’ll soon start to fight over each other and her

How is it looking now?
I guess all still Roos! Lol

the one with the big red comb and wattles started crowing a few weeks ago. The other two haven’t crowed yet. They’re all the same age so I figure the other two should start the crowing any day now! All still sweet and lovable but I dread when the hormones kick in!

what do you think?

Also the weird thing is a man who lives nearby has a red chicken that looks very similar to mine and it’s a hen.
