How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I retrieved 33 eggs from 18 hens total for today and yesterday.

The Kid, on home leave from his Christian academy for the week, gathered eggs today, as I am still laid up with my knee and his sister, my GC, hyperextended HER knee the other night and is also laid up ... and when I asked him, How many eggs?, looked puzzled, then thoughtful, then grinned and said, "Bunches!" So I'm guessing, maybe 12? I'll count them in the morning, lol.
Hoping both you and your GC make a speedy recovery.

We both see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow at a city 2 hours away, she in the morning and I in the afternoon. Brother will drive her, DH will take me.
I hope you all are feeling better real soon! It's always nice to have a visitor.

Speaking of visitors, remember when I talked about the nightmare neighbors? One of my neighbors reached out to me on Sunday because he and his family got some of the same treatment I did. Anyway, turns out another lady lost 11 chickens because of these same bad neighbors, but the dogs seem to be gone now. I hope, I hope. I'm still not gonna free range, though. Lol. Too much loss for me.

One bad neighbour is all it takes - I don’t free range, but I do have a ‘pasture’ set up for my gang.

Nine today, not counting one completely zipped egg with my broody ... and NO sign of a chick! I don't think it could have slipped out of the rabbit hutch holding the nest, but I guess it's possible. I'm more concerned that Mama may be to blame. She wouldn't be the first hen that got really upset about the fuzzy little yellow things that destroyed her treasured eggs. I just set up my incubator. If another goes missing or gets injured, that Mama's out of a job!
Just wondering if you solved this mystery.
