5 today out of 9. I think I have one getting broody. Oh well she needs the rest she getting old and she’s one of my favorites of the flock.

It's bizarre having to buy eggs. It's been over 25 years since I've had to do that. I do hope they get on the ball here pretty quick. Store eggs are icky.

From 4 hens on April 29(yesterday) = a no-shell egg in the poop tray greeted me in the morning, and then there was 3eggs to collect in the afternoon.

I pulled some oyster shell out of the dispenser and made a few piles on the grass as well as adding a couple spoons of yogurt to their lunch as this was the second naked egg.

The piles were gone by bedtime and there was no naked egg this morning so I lowered the shell feeder thinking maybe they couldn’t reach well. We’ll see if my 90g+ layer manages to put a shell on her egg today.
