Hope everyone in the path of these big storms is doing alright. They make me nervous! Definitely feels like tornado weather outside here in TN.

I don't know for sure how many hens I have but it is over 100 and some are 4 years old but range from 5 months and up and I got 90 eggs today and have an average of 80+ a day.

12 today. Stormy. But we are safe, tornadoes gave us a pass. Again. Praise God!

A lot less here, as yesterday we sold 7 hens and both roos to make way for the next gen. AND we have 2 more broodies, for a total of 4 broodies. I gave up on trying to stop them, everyone has eggs and a safe spot to sit now, lol.

So glad you’re safe! The storms will hit us in a couple hours, but we’re also on a ridge in a sturdy building, and hopefully that protects us.

3 eggs today from the pullets. Marzo’s egg was twice her normal soze, lengthwise. This is the second time that she’s laid a big egg. We blew out the first one, but I’d like to crack into this one and see if it’s a double-yolker

Got 13 today! All my 7 ducks laid, and the chickens gave me 6. My two oldest hens, 10yo and 9yo, laid again today.
