How's your mare, today? Colic is no fun for either of you!21 eggs, one was a soft shelled from my silkie hen - poor Fluffyshe’s 4 yrs old now and I imagine will not lay much now.
So I have 20 good eggs which I still need to collect, so I guess I’ll head out to do evening chores check my old mare who seems to be colicky, and gather those eggs.

Thank you for asking, she seems ok. But she is 23 and a grey, full of melanomas, and likely a gut full off them.

She would love that - she loves being brushed and fussed over. Yes she is an Arabian. Around here they are not popular, and I’m fact last year here there were not even a dozen registered by the Canadian registry. When Truly was born there were a couple thousand being registered a yr. But these days seems no one wants horses. Too expensive. Once my girls are gone (I also have a thoroughbred who is 24), I won’t have any others, everything is incredibly expensive now - hay, feed, bedding, Vet, farrier. All very expensive. Not to mention I am getting too old for risking getting injured.I do love a grey. Arabian? I want to hug her neck.
