How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

10 laid today. Collected 6.
I only collected 5 duck, one of them decided to break an egg, eat it, and take the shell out into the run... because this morning there were 6 all with strong shells.
I only got 1 chicken egg though, early afternoon I checked for eggs and there were 3, but I didn't collect them since I wait for everyone to lay. Well when I next checked those 3 eggs were gone and a different hen had laid an egg. No one collected eggs, and I know I saw them, so I'm thinking a snake got to them.

Hm I would have seen evidence of that. There was no eggshell or egg white/yolk, and no one had messy faces.
If it was a snake I'm sure it'll come back again, and I'll see it. I had several snakes in the coop last year.

Glad the majority of snakes here are too small to eat eggs. They are a huge source of interest for the chooks though, who love to haze and poke at them!

17 eggs today. Someone must of had a soft shelled egg break in the one nest box, mum will clean those eggs for me - thank you mum
