How much does California quail sell for?

I have two questions for anyone who keeps or has had experience with Califonia quail.
1. How much do they sell in auctions and private sales?
2. Are California Quail chicks bigger than Courtnix quail chicks?

I live in California, where you need a permit, so I can't really give you prices (I ordered eggs from out of state at around $1 an egg).
They're smaller than jumbos, which is what I have experience with, but probably the same size as regular coturnix chicks. Here's a picture of me holding one at around 12 hrs old last night.

I’ve looked at the prices online, the certainly ask more than Coturnix generally go for, I don’t know if people reliable get those prices though. The issue I would consider is licensing. Where I live, you can’t sell at swaps or auctions unless you are NPIP/ai, or have vet documents etc. Any birds that require permits or licenses will need to have the proper documents presented.

Makes sense, since California quail are seasonal layers. I imagine right now is the only time they aren't expensive.

Maybe. But that is only if you want chicks..
