how to raise ruffed grouse

How do you raise ruffed grouse? I have been looking at raising some lately. Also where can I get some chicks and/or eggs? Finally can the do well with chickens?

I'm not sure if you can raise ruffed grouse as a livestock animal. Never heard of such a thing and never even considered it.
They are a wild bird and thrive on a rich and varied diet. Alot of times when you take a wild animal and put it in a cage it will stress itself to death.

it will be interesting to see if anyone else has some wisdom to pass on.

People don't sell eggs or chicks as the chicks are sensitive and they don't lay many eggs.
These birds calm down in captivity if the situation allows for it. They need large enclosures with just a pair or so. Shouldn't be mixed with chickens. They are very expensive birds.

Don't put game birds with domestics. They require lots of protein in their natural form (bugs, seeds, fruit seeds, fruit etc) and a nice fly pen and coop.

This guy followed me around for weeks at my construction site. Always around from shingling roof to running power tools. He would sit on the sawhorses and was always within a few steps. Worried someone would kill him, I took him home when we finished. He has a large coop connected to a fly run and seems content on wild birds food, greens and mealworms. I have chickens. He doesn't seem to mind them but I've not let him out with them. When I do, it's up to him whether he integrates or heads for the woods. I only intend to pen him to familiarize him with his new home
