It’s gonna be a good couple of days there are downed lines everywhere transformers blown whole power stations taken out.

Hi everyone! We lost power around 10:15 last night but it came back this morning about 7:00 AM. The only damage we had was a few branches down, only minor flooding on some areas of our property Ankle deep at its deepest and none that damaged anything. Very minimal damage in our area, praise the Lord

We didn't get too much of the heavy rain but definitely lots of wind, hurricane force gusts and tropical storm force sustained. My hurricane shudders on my room were all completely ripped off

Way hyped on caffeine and I doubt she'll be sleeping

I am glad those in the storms path have made it through. We lost power last night a little after 9:00 PM. As @SourRoses stated the wind died down around 4:00 AM. We were able to turn on the generator at that time. In the light of day we found a tree had fallen that blocked our road. Neighbors with equipment were able to clear it. This apparently took out Spectrum too. I feel fortunate that we only have these few issues. Many are waking up to a whole new situation and loads of work ahead after just having to do it a couple of weeks ago. I have heard there were casualties reported from tornados on the east coast. I do not believe they were expecting them. I understand there were more tornados reported then any other storm in recent times. Everyone please stay safe.

They said these particular apartments are known to flood and they expected it.... Yet some people chose to stay which is a little bit weird.

Not necessarily. People who have money evacuate. People living at or below the poverty line may not have the means to do so and they are always the worst affected by disasters.

You will see a LOT of misinformation in the coming days if the media circus around Helene was any gauge. Some of it is accidental, some will be deliberate.
