... no risk of euthanasia? the spca would probably trick me into euthanizing if this happened and I went through them, and I can't take any wild birds to a vet. i am just trying to find the process for this if it should ever happen, to be prepared. I would drive a goose like 3 hours ona weekend and pay money to get it taken care of, is that what people do? Where is a list of live shelters / farmthat you could use?

That’s an odd hypothetical question. It depends on the injury.

Many people on this website (I would say the majority, in fact) treat their birds themselves. Avian vets are few and far between. The ASPCA isn’t really the place to take any injured animal, it’s primarily an adoption/rescue agency. I don’t really know why a farm would treat an injured goose either.

In this “hypothetical” scenario of finding an injured wild goose, if it was actually more like a pet then I would either attempt to treat it myself or find a vet willing to see geese and just not mention it was wild at some point. If it’s really just a random wild goose, I would locate a wildlife rehabilitation center.
