I'm sorry but it isn't quite clear to me what you are dealing with when reading your posts.
As I read it, you have one broody hen with chicks and another broody hen sitting on eggs (of unknown age) in another nest.
The hen with live chicks won't necessarily go back to the nest where she hatched the chicks.
The hen that has been sitting on eggs and has gone to roost is finished being broody. Those eggs ma be toast.
