I need a vet who will set a broken Humerus on my daughter's 2month old chicken.

Hopefully someone near Kansas City will answer you. How did she break her wing? Is there broken skin? Lightly wrapping a wing in a normal position against the body can be helpful. Page 16 of this splinting manual might help as well:

It was an accident- my 5 year old was waving a stick and ended up hitting her. she has a broken Humerus- as an emergency measure a vet x-rayed and gave her pain meds but said that it was beyond her ability to do anything with it. another vet said that he would see her only if I guaranteed that I would NEVER eat the eggs. Another vet that usually sees them left for a conference. I have called a lot of vets today... 90% said no the others said only if it has a non orthopedic need. :(

Is the wing hanging down? Is there a break in the skin? Broken skin could be a compound fracture, and then I would paint some Betadine (povidone iodine) on the skin to disinfect it. I would probably wrap it in a natural position to the body not too tight with a strip of gauze or 1 inch strip of vet wrap. Wrap it around the broken wing to the body, leaving the other wing out. Things like this can happen, and as long as the chick is eating and drinking, and getting around, they can recover well. Do you have any pictures?

I can take one, but it has a broken humerus and it is close to the joint I think.

My husband helped me to put a popsicle stick for stability and coband on it to keep it on and then wrapped it around the body and under the other wing. I ordered a bird cone to help prevent it picking off the bandage again. I don't know if it will be big enough but maybe it will distract her. She is eating and drinking and is currently living in my son's room in a large clear tote with a veggie net and 2 boxes to keep it on and limit her attempts at escape. I got some Meloxicam from the vet. And have been giving it to her every 12 hours.
As of today her sisters met a sad end when we were gone for 2 hours and were killed by a loose dog that got over my fence. Since she's the only baby left would it be safe to let her back in the coop and keep her confined to coop and run? I'm worried she's gonna try to dustbathe and undo all the bandage or cause the compound fracture we are trying to avoid. I keep hoping that one of the unaccounted for chickens returns. I left my gate and her coop open in hopes that she shows up. I'm absolutely devastated and so are my kids.

So sorry for your loss. So how many are lost? Were any bodies found? Are you getting more chicks to be with the 2 month old? I would keep the chick in the coop and run or inside with you.

The loose husky (not my dog) killed 7 and left them all over the back yard, the front yard and my neighbor's yards. My chicken Dusty is missing, presumed dead as she didn't return last night. She was a Black Sex Link from TSC.
