I now have 17 chicks in the brooder, after rehoming a few of my roosters. They are in my laundry room currently. As much as I take care of them, you would think they would like me. But unfortunately they do not! Every time I walk in it’s a total panic in the brooder, I’ve even tried treats with no luck. Well, I decided to play country music for them, so they get use to more noise. Anyone else do this or am just insane? 😂

My coop is not ready, but I’m ready for them to be outside!

I played classical oratorios like the Messiah to get my baby turkeys to bed at two in the morning. It worked!

My Speckled Sussex chicks are sooo crazy, flighty! They are not my favorite unfortunately. That’s how it started I think, now all the chicks feel the need to have panic attacks at the site of me! Maybe I should try classical instead!
Different birds like different things, try a few different genres and see what they like. As long as the music is at a reasonable volume there's no harm in it

My girls listened to melodic death metal while in the brooder. They are all friendly hens now but I wonder if their love of yelling had anything to do with how they were brought up
LOL mine listened to Green Day.
