Hi chicken mamas and papas! I’ve had a split flock until a few days ago. I had silkies I raised up with my frizzle EE in their own coop and then 3 full sized hens in another. I realized two coops plus their temp box for cleaning time was a lot of work so my silkies found a new home and I snagged a cream crested legbar so my EE wasn’t alone. I planned on letting them get friendly then sending them both to the big outdoor coop together in the next week or two. BUT when I got home with her I realized the new pullet was TINY! I guess I didn’t realize my frizzle was so much bigger. They took to eachother right away but now I’m concerned the legbar while old enough and fully feathered is just too small? She came from a reputable local farm and not bantam sized. If the rest of her flock was bigger, is there such thing as dwarf chickens?!😂🤣 She’s 11 weeks old and my EE is 13 weeks old. I’m attaching pics of them next to eachother in the cleaning box so they’re close to one another. Looking for experienced chicken tenders advice as to whether it’s ok to send her to the big coop with the hens or suggestions what to do.
