i somehow acquired 2 runaways and i have questions. please help

this is probably a stupid question but what do you do with your chickens when the lawnmower is going?
do they get scared?

We keep ours in the run until hubby is done. The 4yo girls don’t mind it at all, but just ran it for the first time with the new girls. Had to talk one of them down from a ledge… literally.

They’ll get used to it quickly.

I keep mine in the run, just in case.

But when they lived in the backyard, they kept the grass short enough to never need mowing.

Mine seem to not be bothered by machinery sounds. It’s not like they run towards the lawnmower (like they do the power saw), but it doesn’t bother them.
Strange birds.

these guys weren’t afraid of the saw, when i was using it last week. but they aren’t too keen on my husband who is the cutter of grass. i’d learn to do it, but then i’d be doing it alllll the time shhh. don’t tell him.
