Do y'all remember office pools during football season? How many additional chickens do you think pollipaza will end up getting within the year? LOL! Definitely going to add to the flock. This BYC member already loves those funny chickens.

i haven’t been telling the half of it! i don’t know how yas cope with more! my nerves are shot worrying about things trying to eat them. i’m outside in the freezing rain talking to chickens, sleeping on the couch in case the fox comes, chasing the mean cat away. my husband is going to have me committed to the institution any minute now.
besides i stole some of his steak because @AntiqueB said they would love it.

thelma LOVED it! louise was skeptical at first, but sure, she doesn’t want thelma to get it all so she was gonna take it if she liked it or not! i think she’s acquired a taste for it already. but it’ll be a long time before they get it again. i hardly ever cook steaks for the husband!

i forgot to mention that louise has a paint addiction and we have standoffs regularly when i chase her away from it. she tries to act all tough, but when thelma lays an egg, she comes shouting looking for me because she doesn’t want to be alone. so i sit out there with her while she pretends she doesn’t care but will stay within 5 feet of me. and thelma takes a REALLY long time to lay an egg.
thelma does the same thing, looking for me when louise goes in, but she’s not a snob. and she’ll sit beside me.

surely not every chicken person does these things?
i’m taking it too far?

oh, and the reason things changed and i didn’t want them in the trees anymore, was louise had ditched thelma a couple days in. she went off to the trees, and thelma was all confused and scared, so i walked down to the trees with thelma. absolutely lashing rain and freezing cold. and saw the conditions. so much traffic, people, dogs, cats, rain, cold. and thelma, who’s away with the fairies, walking across the road.
i couldn’t sleep all night with the worry!

louise is much better now. she’s not ditching her. but a couple of days ago, thelma went in the coop to lay an egg, and i ran in the house for a second. came out to no louise. i looked in all the hiding spots, looked out front, looked in the neighbour’s garden. no louise!
i was really annoyed.

she was in the coop laying an egg.
i didn’t check the coop.
