I'm so old I Remember when:

I skipped most of these pages so I don't know if this has been said but I remember drinking from a garden hose, not wearing a helmet, and sitting backwards in the family station wagon. And I

I remember drinking water from a garden hose

And drinking rain water from a barrel

And playing in the rain

I did not melt like the adults that told me I would melt if I got wet playing in the rain

Oh...so the shop still carry that 1 cent coin. We do not have that anymore, they all rounded up.. or rounded down. From my experience if the change to me is 18 cents, the cashier gives me back 15 cents. But if I have to pay out say $1.18 cents, they tell me $1.20 cents.

A long while back, I still had 1 cent coin, they told me they do not take 1 cent coin anymore. I could argue with them that it is a legal coin, but for 1 cent people have to wait for me, they might be curing me in their mind so I moved on.

Is that the store owners collecting all those one cents

those saved one cents do add up to saved dollars

Back in the eighties
I went around the house collecting all the change that was put on top of the entertainment centers china cabinet chest of drawers dressers etcetcetc

I donated all the dimes nickles pennies and kept the quarters

We also no longer have 1cent pieces. They round up or down. Unless it’s VISA - they still take the exact amt.

I have so many 1 cent pieces hahahaha - the bank will take them, but it’s really not worth my while to count them.

Maybe in 100 yrs they will be valuable 😆

My favorite haul-days are the day after Easter and the day after Halloween.
