I'm so old I Remember when:

Sometimes when I'm having a blah day, I look for a way to brighten up someone else's day. And that brightens my day too.

Last week I stopped for gas and when I went in to pre pay (I'm so old, I don't pay at the pump), a young lady who worked there was collecting the trash out of the bins. She was trying to pull the bag out of the bin, but it was fighting her all the way. I stopped and held the bin down, and together we rocked it a bit, and she got the bag out without it ripping open.

When I left, she saw me, waved, a big smile on her face.

What did that cost me? Nothing. 10 seconds. We both got a smile out of it.

Hey BYC peeps
Was anyone else out there told as a little girl 1961-1968

You are so sweet
You will melt if you get wet
Or something similar

I don’t know what the adults said to little boys
Have not heard that one. But my grandmother was fond of telling me ‘you face will end up staying like that you frown so much’.

….must go look on the mirror!

I was reading a biography and they wrote that the girl who play Laura Ingles and the young lady who played the antagonistic spoiled girl of the store keeper where great friends in real life.

But neither of them like the one who played the older Ingles girl (Mary), she was apparently very cold and selfish.

The older set here hold doors for each other. The youngsters are rude little monsters and do not.

I will tell them off when it happens to me. Self absorbed youngsters.
Usually I hand off the door while walking in. Door falls and usually the person catches it. Everyone where I came from does that. Old, young, etc.
