I'm so old I Remember when:

I'm so old I remember when our small town cops only had a badge and a pistol while on patrol. We only had a chief and one cop under him for a town that now has the same population and 6 badge toting officers. That's the difference street drugs can do to a small town now. While growing up in that small town I never even heard of MJ or any other drug being available. When there was talk of drugs from our teachers it was something only found in the big cities and then it was about heroin, opium, and maybe one more I do not remember.

I hated to run out of coins when needing to make a call at a pay phone before I could finish my business.
That reminds me of the Brady Bunch episode where they put in a pay phone in the house because their bill was too high!

Took me a few years to understand this as in Canada we don't pay for local calls and the pay phones were just the one coin for as long as you wanted if it was local, too.

Collect calling was an option unless the person on the other end was cheap.

I haven’t seen this one (yet).

This reminds me that there was a vintage parking meter in the antique store. My sister wanted to put it in our driveway and charge visitors a parking fee.
