I was stationed in Stuttgart and watched the Berliners climbing up on the wall as they were hitting it with sledge hammers! Very exciting!I was in Germany (my dad was stationed over there) when the Berlin Wall came down and I remember all of the celebrations that happened with it coming down.
I remember when these came out, only the "rich kids" had them. Math teachers made them leave them out of the classroom during tests!I remember when this was a "smartwatch".

In grade school, we learned to use an abacus!I think I was in high school before I saw a calculator, and even then it was considered cheating to use it in school. You had a brain for a reason!
I was going to do a shocked face, but I'm actually not surprised. One thing that gets me is that no one uses the "cents" symbol. It's not even an option. In grade school, we learned to use an abacus!
My dad was an accountant so there were always calculators around the house, but we were never allowed one in school either.
I think my jaw hit the floor when I went to my son's play (in high school) and the girl collecting the entry fee had to use one to figure out the change for $14 out of a $20!!!
Yeah whatever happened to it??I was going to do a shocked face, but I'm actually not surprised. One thing that gets me is that no one uses the "cents" symbol. It's not even an option.
I think somebody fed the symbols table to a chicken. It's been so long ago I don't even remember when I realized it was gone.Yeah whatever happened to it??
I still use the ¢ symbol.... rather than $.29 as it will always be 29¢ to me.I was going to do a shocked face, but I'm actually not surprised. One thing that gets me is that no one uses the "cents" symbol. It's not even an option.
