Thank goodness he's a "former," eh?I have a "former" that was pushing our little 3 year old on it. He had it going so hard I was yelling at him to stop. He kept it going thinking it was funny. I yelled she's going to flip off. Man, she went flying. He didn't think it was so funny then. Ugh
Well....it's a ..bit..better. Now it's going be on my brain for a week.I am not old enough to remember the 1929 version but my Dad enjoyed it.
The 1929 version was from a Broadway musical. Nick Lucas.
A very different feel!
See it here - the credits take up a long time at the start.

They apparently don't want swingsets in parks because they're too dangerous. Screw that, I want my swingsets!I have played on one of the metal carousels (is that what they're called?) in a park on Lake Erie and in the old schoolyard of my former parish. I have not seen one since, but it was my favorite part of the playground equipment. Children today definitely do not know what they're missing out on!
All the parks around here have swing sets. Legit swing sets. We even have a swing set at the elementary school playgroundThey apparently don't want swingsets in parks because they're too dangerous. Screw that, I want my swingsets!
One of my favorite childhood parks replaced the heavy duty, super old metal swings with this plastic garbage dual-people swings. One goes on the back, the other on the front. I went on it. Swing behind me came and smacked my back. Talk about "safe". Maybe that's the reason I've got back problems.
Those good old days! When I started driving, there were gas stations attendants. They would automatically wash your windshield and rear window and air up your tires - for free of course. They were always such happy, friendly people also.
Pizza Fridays at school cost 50 cents; it included a pint of milk. Otherwise, I had to take my brown bag lunch.
In which case you get your burner smartphone that's only on when you're doing that.I remember when I was a teenager I did paper run on the weekend to get extra pocket money. Friday night they delivered 5 /6 stacks of advertisement papers. I collated them together then Saturday morning walked the streets they highlighted on the map they gave me to deliver those in the letterbox. It was just me and my leg wheels.
Now I saw they are looking for people doing this, but MUST have a smart phone and install an APP.
