Alright, y'all. Go on a mental journey with me. I used to live in beautiful Southern Tier of NY and had an aunt and uncle down in Joisey we'd visit a couple times a year. So now these drone sightings the last few weeks have caught my interest. Today I heard on a news podcast a statement from NJ's newly elected Senator Andy Kim. (who knows where I'm going with this?)
That name sounds familiar like I remember - but can't quite put my finger on it - there's was a very enjoyable song way back when.. . I looked it up and sure enough, it's one of those songs that immediately takes you back. So with just one further ado - and that is, I looked up a picture of the Senator and no way is it the same Andy Kim. Here now for your nostalgic pleasure all the way from our 51st state (bwahaha) of Canada is the original Andy Kim.

Absolutely LOVE this song!

In my day there was no issue with Free Range kids. They would have had to arrest all the parents in the neighborhood.

This made me angry. It's no wonder that kids these days don't know how to behave. Growing up, I was *rarely* home, either off playing with friends or taking my dog for long walks through the 'nearby' woods or just doing my own thing. I didn't have 'helicopter' parents.

Heck, when I was 2 and we lived in the city, I escaped our backyard, crossed one of the busiest road in the city, went to the public pool and stripped out of my clothes to go for a swim! Lifeguard brought me home (I was well known in the neighbourhood!) and informed my mom that they didn't allow nude bathing!

Can you imagine that happening today? Mom would have been tossed in jail and us kids taken away by Child Services!

I am confident our parents had no clue where we were most of the time.

It's just what is "in" now. I'm sure when I was young, the adults thought the same thing about what we said. Considering what other things COULD be said, I'll take skibidi toilet. If the worst thing my son does is say skibidi toilet, then I did a great job raising him

All I know is we can't figure out who buzzed our fighter pilots, can't figure out who kept buzzing Langley airforce base, and other military facilities, can't figure out who buzzed our base in East Anglia, UK, and now can't figure out who is buzzing our houses in 4 states.

But we can see what's going on the surface of Mars.
