I always buy the CD if I can. Pretty much the large majority of my collection are CDs which I have "ripped" the tracks from to a high-quality lossless format so I don't wear out the CD. Then I play it back off of a device that I have dedicated to music playback, which connects to a DAC, and then connects to a amplifier and some nice speakers. I've also got a CD player in case I don't want to rip the disc yet.You speak truth. Which is why I have a ready supply of music CDs, all genres, and depending on my mood, the CD player gets a workout some days. I still like to spin the 33s also - albums just sound so much better.
I go barefoot outside in the backyard and have stepped on any number of plants, rocks, and even chook poop. It hurts sometimes.Anyone who has EVER complained about stepping on a LEGO needs to experience this. It's a surprise pain like no other!
Yeah. But not like jacks.I go barefoot outside in the backyard and have stepped on any number of plants, rocks, and even chook poop. It hurts sometimes.
Absolutely.Pretty sure stepping on jacks would hurt a lot more than stepping on chook poop.
We didn't have jacks. I think all the little pieces got lost and Mom never bothered buy more.Yeah. But not like jacks.
I have done it also and it is the worst!
On purpose, never, and more so, how far did I chase her, she was a wiry quick girl., even when my brother and I would chase her.On purpose? Or by accident? Either way, how far did she chase you afterwards?
Used take a cruise that was timed to pass the pier at dive time, then go to Capt Starns for sea food, mid to late 50s. Photographer would take family pick, still floating around in an album at my daughters. I was 7-8 at the time. This would be more of an East Coast thing I suppose, but does anyone remember the Diving Horse in Atlantic City? I was fortunate enough to see it first hand as a child.
The jack always won. Nobody was chasing anybody after stepping on one of those miniature caltrops. MUCH worse than stepping on Lego, but similar. On purpose? Or by accident? Either way, how far did she chase you afterwards?
I saw a movie once about diving horses called Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. Was it basd on true events? The horse's rider, a teen girl, accidentally hit the water with her eyes open and lost her vision, but continued to dive afterward anyway. This would be more of an East Coast thing I suppose, but does anyone remember the Diving Horse in Atlantic City? I was fortunate enough to see it first hand as a child.
Agreed. Will look for a picture.Anyone who has EVER complained about stepping on a LEGO needs to experience this. It's a surprise pain like no other!
