My Grandmother was a beautician. One of her customers used to make these among other things. I think every old lady at church had one!

Same here! That's why we bought the old farmhouse.

Yup, same here.

We bought our house with 8 acres. One of the neighbors offered us "the field" when they decided to sell, because they knew we wouldn't build on it. We wanted to keep it the way is is. They gave us a bit of a deal, I think. We bought "the old farmhouse" when it went into foreclosure for the same reason: we didn't want someone to put 3 houses out there.

It may sound a bit NIMBY, but land is getting bought up and "developed" all around here. There are more ways to use land than to try to wring every last dollar out of it.

Yessss, unfortunately. BTW, it wasn’t my choice to have them around. What was worse was having the matching toilet cover and rug as well.
