I'm so old I Remember when:

I remember playing "Dodge Ball" in grade school. I wonder if such a violent activity is allowed in schools now. Just the thought of making kids get between to players who are throwing a big round soft red ball at them just might send shock waves the first day kids told their parents they got hit with a ball because Little Johnny threw it deliberately at them.
As far as I know it is. Can't remember where I saw it though.

Not to mention the horrors of Red Rover and Buck Buck.

I remember
Red River
Jump rope & double & double Dutch
Chinese jump rope
Jacks
Marbles

I never believed in any of them. Santa, Easter Bunny, etc.

I remember when I got my first smart phone....

Most other things like having a black and white TV I don't remember as well....

all I remember about my first smartphone
was a Tracfone using a prepaid card and I wanted a game and it took $39 out of my prepaid card account

That one game had 12 ways to play solitaire on it and I only played 3 of them

That cell finally died a little over a year ago

I made sure I got my $39 worth of playing solitaire

I liked dodge ball, and I pretty much detested gym class.

It is no longer allowed in a lot of public schools around here.
Did you all have stilts and pogo sticks? Our playground was blacktop and I remember one game was to try and dislodge each other off stilts. You had to be able to balance on one stilt while using the other to trip the other kid up so s/he fell off.
I remember the tall stilts being really high off the ground (though I accept I was shorter at the time).
Still amazed that wasn’t banned by the school.
