I'm so old I Remember when:

That is the perfect vest there, I need something like that. I always carry about garden tools with me and then running around looking for there, where did I leave them?
I bought this in 2019 and still wear it for gardening, chickening, whatever! I see it's 41% off now. I didn't get that deal. :)

Thank you! That is very good, I can wear under my apron. I have scissor, secateurs, stanley knife, strings, and of course lots of treat for my chickens. At certain time, I carry VetRX, and small bottle of nutrient and syringe without the needle, dog nail clippers.

All the tools that a serious chicken/garden/ person needed. 😄

They can't keep their cat inside? I'm going back and forth between thinking your neighbors are lazy about taking care of their own pets and don't really care about their health.
Very few people in the Netherlands keep their cats inside the house. No-one keeps them locked up outside by my knowledge. Many people who have cats have a cat pop door in their back door and tge cats can go out whenever they please (other neighbours).
Nowadays there are many people who keep their cats inside at night (like the neighbours with the hungry cat). This is a progress.
All my neighbours care a lot about their cats. Whenever one is sick or hurt they go to vet. And they go to the vet every year for the recommended vaccinations.

So according to your neighbors, the burden is on you to sit outside your coop with a non-lethal weapon waiting to dispatch their pet instead of them taking responsibility for its disruptive behavior. Do they think you have nothing else to do with your time?
:) sort off , but only if I want to.
My chickens come into my neighbours garden too sometimes. They don’t mind. So who am I to say they have to keep their cats inside.
In general people here tolerate other animals like cats on their properties as long as they do no real damage. Living in a country/town with do many people living side by side, means you have to be tolerant to habits and noises of other people.

Dogs are another story. Dogs are not allowed to free range outside their own garden. So everybody walks their dogs on a leash. And there is an obligation to pick up the poop if the dog poops on the pavement or grass where children might play.
In my town there are 5 off-leash area’s where dogs can play and poop freely within a fence. People with dogs pay extra taxes to make it work. Forests and natural parks often have restrictions for dogs too, to protect wildlife.

I suppose another solution to try is to keep the main stash of your chickens's feed inside the house or in a lidded metal bin and only portion out enough for breakfast, then later in the day an afternoon snack, and some before bed, returning what they don't finish in a given set time back to the bin. It'd mean a bit more work for you but they'll get used to it and the cat won't have access.
I recently changed it. I have a mixed flock with only hens. But my oldest stopped laying and some lay little. Therefore they could choose between layer and chick/grower feed.
When my chickens free range, I take away the chick feed now. This is the feed the cat likes most. In a container thats not easy to access for the cat I have layer feed.
The stock is in the house and in special containers in our bike shed and not accessible for any animal.
Do you have a rooster? I've never had one but hear they can be quite protective.
No rooster (can’t). The hens don’t attack cats. They avoid them.

Grrrr... people who allow their cats to roam around here are ignorant or downright cruel. Coyotes love eating cats.
We have no coyotes here. I suppose the cats are safe for predators we have around here. Most cats who roam outside get killed by cars.
Also I don't need cats hanging out around our chickens and using our yard and gardens as their hunting grounds and litter boxes. All that dander and urine makes my lungs shut down. Keep cats indoors!
I don’t like it that the cats hunt the songbirds. We have so few songbirds nowadays because of the cats, but also because there are not enough insects anymore for certain songbirds.

The cats that hang around here do not chase the chickens. There was one cat who did. But he’s rarely here and it seems he’s no longer interested doing so since we have bigger bantams.

Most people have cat litter boxes in the house and train their cats to use them. We had this problem cat’s poop in our garden with the previous cats of a neighbour. Nowadays I don’t have cat poop in my garden anymore.

When I buy clothes I always look if it has pockets. Its a big + in buying. I don’t like to live without pockets for at least my keys and a wallet.
Last time I bought trousers without pockets must have been 10 years ago. I did make a pocket inside the belt after I bought it.

I only wear skirts and dresses (who rarely have pockets) on special occasions. For that I have a chic mini backpack/handbag.

The good thing about most photographer vests is that they are actually mainly mesh so they aren’t too hot or too bulky.

@BDutch
I have 2 little dogs and they are in the garden all day and in the house at night. They seem to deter cats come to our garden by their barking when they see a cat walking on the dividing fence.

My mom had a cat came to her house sometimes, kill rat/mice in her garden, then rolled itself around her. It wore a collar and sometimes it smell really fresh so it was loved. It had not come over for awhile many months now.
