Chickens but I don't know the particular type. We have some brown, yellowish and blue eggs. It was from a nearby ranch
At 23 days they're overdo to hatch. Have you had any hatch or pip already? Are you using a separate calibrated thermometer/hygrometer to check the temp and humidity? I would briefly candle and see if you can spot movement or active veining in the eggs. Feel free to post pictures if you aren't sure what you're looking at.

Hi, welcome to the forum! Glad you joined!

No. When they are in a nest under a broody hen they are touching. They are fine touching.

It is not that unusual for eggs to hatch a day or two early or late. There can be different reasons for that. Heredity, humidity, how and how long they were stored before incubation started, and average incubating temperature. Personally I'd leave them alone for another day or two. Candling or handling them will not help them hatch. When you are ready to give up on the hatch, Day 24 or 25, you can candle them to make yourself sure they are not going to hatch. Leaving them alone unless you see something you need to fix will not hurt them. I find the more I needlessly interfere the more problems I cause.

Yes we are hoping they are just late as the first two days the heat was a bit low. We are using the incubators numbers only. We did candle on day 15 and many look like they grew. I guess we will know in the next two days. 4 are moving.
