Incubator and hatching help

I got this big 400 egg incubator called the Wonegg Chinese Red Series egg incubator and I don't know what is going wrong weather it's the incubator or me but my eggs are starting out well then dying over and over again. My first attempt I had over 90 hatching eggs in, from different purchased flocks and 2 ended up hatching, both those were weak and small chicks and ended up dying. By comparison I had 4 chicks hatch out from my little incubator from Amazon and they were much bigger and good growth and still doing fine. I used Factory settings of 38celsius and 55% humidity. I bought little hygrometer and thermometers and from the centre of the incubator those temps are accurate. My next set of eggs I decided to try dry hatching and turning the temp down a bit so it's been set at 37.5celsius and around 30-40% humidity. With the lower humidity I barely need to fill it with water so I open it briefly every couple days and that's it. I candles eggs on day 10 and threw out about half that weren't developing or were unfertilized. I also have duck eggs and all of them are doing well since the last check, chickens are not. Day 15 I just checked and threw out another 16 eggs, 9 left in the incubator that are developing. Wtf is going on ?!

Those incubators are known as chick killers, sorry. I don't have one, so I can't say from personal experience.
