Incubator water

I've been told to use distilled water in my incubator, is this true?

You don't have too but using tap water if you have 'city water' has chemicals in the water, ie; chlorine, fluoride, etc. Well water doesn't have chlorine but lots of minerals.
Distilled doesn't have any thing to cause mineral deposits in the incubator.

@007Sean has given you some great info, I use either RO or distilled, especially if you have hard water, you definitely don't want to use tap water.

If you do use tap water and use your incubator enough, the calcium deposits will accumulate on the bottom of the trays and on any metal surface in the incubator! ...speaking from experince....well water!

Welcome to BYC! I've used tap and distilled water and haven't noticed a difference in hatch rates.
