Insomniacs unite!

Maybe you tried most tipps against insomnia?! For example avoid „blue light“ like tv or computer monitor at least 2 hrs before going to bed, don’t drink caffeine, also, alcohol is not good for sleep even though in the beginning, it might make you tired …fresh air contributes to a good sleep, exercise is also good for sleeping, but not right before bedtime, also, try to keep a sleep routine to train the body to sleep, don’t do stuff in or keep work related stuff in the room you sleep in, a mattress which is comfortable for you is also good for sleeping, some people who have problems with their circulation sleep better after a cup of coffee 🤪 my insomnia comes from pain, and I can’t tolerate most pain medication, so I know the cause of my insomnia 🤷🏻‍♀️
 
I have gotten in the habit of letting shows play in the background, too exciting , they keep me up, too boring, I get distracted, but just regular shows in the background help me not concentrate on the discomfort I am feeling, but don’t get me hyped up, so they kind of put me to sleep, hubby says it is totally wrong cos of the blue light, but I can’t read very long ( I used to) cos of my hands/shoulders, music doesn’t distract me enough, so right now that is the only thing that works for me, also, when I wake up, if I am lucky, I go to sleep on my own, if not, I just let another show run, and it makes me sleepy most of the time ..

Have you tried podcasts/youtube videos? Sometimes I'll choose a video that's 2-4 hours long of something that interests me but not enough to stay awake to listen, turn the volume down really low so I can just barely make out words, lock my phone, put on my eye mask, and get comfy. If I'm lucky I'll drift off within an hour.
 
After I woke up early shortly after going to bed I stayed up until I found myself falling asleep in my chair. I went back to bed around 2:30 and went to sleep. Didn't want to getup when I needed to this morning but did as I had places to go and people to annoy.
