Is there any hope for this chick? It appears it pipped at some point (went into lockdown on Monday night, it’s now Wednesday night), not sure when, I first saw pipping start with other eggs about 26 hours ago , but I noticed tonight that the egg was stuck to the bottom of the incubator by some red fluid. The membrane looks dry, cannot hear any chirping and can’t see any movement. I managed to get the egg unstuck from the bottom of the incubator. It has had siblings hatch around it and fluff up etc. anything I can do?

If you don't see any movement it is probably already dead.
I would pick away at the shell starting at one of the holes.

😓 oh. There are other eggs in the incubator that may still hatch. Is there a safe way to check on this little love without jeopardizing the rest?

People may disagree with me but if it’s still in there you should peel it open

The chick is probably dead by now. Your other eggs with be just fine if you open up your incubator. Take the egg out an pick some of the egg shell of like @RiDaGeckoGuy said and poke the chick to see if it will move. Your egg wont get chilled just baking it out for a little while. I’ve had eggs go without heat for hours outside and they still hatched out just fine.

How do I do this safely to ensure it won’t chill, if it’s alive?
You don’t have to do anything special or try to keep it warm. It won’t be chilled if you pull it out quickly, peel back some shell to see if it is alive and then either put it back if you see movement or toss if not. If you take forever to do it sure it will chill, but it shouldn’t take more then 5 minutes at most which is fine for it to be out of the incubator that long.

I opened my incubator a million times and never have issues related to me opening my incubator.
I would take the egg out and start picking away at the shell but it's probably dead already.

Can confirm, it was already deceased. Not sure why. It had some white stuff on its beak…

In the future if you notice one making a hole and not actually zipping but continuing to make that hole bigger than there's usually a problem like it's probably stucks so you would have to help soon.
