So can you breed an old english/cochin mixed rooster to cochin hens and produce offspring without feathered feet?
Odds aren't good but I guess if you hatch a whole whole lot you might eventually get one.
No way around it that the offspring would get at least one gene for feathered legs. By chance you may get one that doesn't express it well but I wouldn't expect it would be very successful.

Feathered foot gene is incomplete dominate. In my second generation D’Uccles project in 2022 I hatched about 50 eggs and only one chick hatch out without feathered feet and that was only because the grandfather of the chicks was a Japanese bantam. Like Moonshiner said you’d have to hatch a whole bunch just to get maybe one.
