Is this a lavender muscovy?

I picked up this muscovy duckling this past weekend at my local chicken swap. I was told it was a lavender and am trying to confirm that it is a true lavender since it's wing feathers are now coming in and it appears to have some barring on them. I was under the impression that true lavenders will have no varying in color. This is leading me to believe that it may instead be silver instead of lavender. I'm not sure what the parents were but all of the ducklings were the same color.

I don't know if he's lavender, but he is barred.

Precious! I don't have muscovy but those look like bars and with most poultry lavender is always solid.

Barring will fade out with molts on most muscovies. I can't answer your question, but maybe this will help...
