This Beauty just arrived with a flock of Canda geese. Sorry for the crappy pictures...my daughter took them...but is this a Toulouse Goose? He flew in with the flock, made a huge splash landing in the pond (not anywhere as graceful as his flight mates). immediately got out of the pond and foraged while everyone swam. As soon as the Canada geese took off, so did he. He didn't fly up high in the air like the other geese, about 5-8 foot off the ground but he kept right up with them. Is it possible that a Toulouse goose would join a flock of Canada Geese and stay with them like this?

We are so goose nieve. I didn't know Toulouse goose would/could be adopted a wild goose flock, let alone fly away with them. He kept right up with them just lower to the ground. My Daughter was so excited as she has always wanted a pet goose and to have a domesticated one just show it and make a splash like he did...she was convinced God sent him to her (lol...I love 10 year olds and thier faith). We are simply amazed by all of this.

Guess it is time I get her a pet goose!

He's a Greylag Goose. One of the ancestors of today's Domestic breeds. They look very similar to Toulouses but are a wild species.
