They are SOOO disgusting! My worst experience with one came one morning a guy that I know had a cow that died (natural causes) and took a day or two to find a back-hoe to move and bury it. While over there giving him a hand, we noticed the cow's belly moving!! He gave it a good poke with his foot, and out off the ass of this thing came a filth covered possum!! It had crawled right up the butt off the dead cow and was eating it from the inside out!!!! I have a very strong stomach, but that was just too much for me! I lost my breakfast.

I guess the vet was right. We just thought since this visitor had been here a couple times that it was the cause of Gizmo's (dog) injury. We have two of the large traps and are going to set both of them. I know for every few we trap there are many more out there.

Thanks for the info on possums. I thought after I had come so close to it that I may have been in danger. Good to know I wasn't.
