You might notice his right ear is a bit goopy in that last picture. He had his annual vet visit about a week and a half ago and they tried an ear pack on him. That ear has been an ongoing issue for him since the middle of last year, poor baby. But it does seem to be at least a bit better with the ear pack, so hopefully that does the trick. Anyway, he otherwise has a clean bill of health and is up to date on all of his shots again.

Oh good. I was going to check that he was up to date on his shots before I come by to steal him.

I'm sorry I haven't been following your posts about him and don't have time to go back thru the thread. I'm just wondering what kind of cat he is? I had a cat I rescued from a shelter in NM and brought back with me to PA years ago. His name was Ollie - RIP sweet boy. I never was clear on what breed he was (some people said they thought he was Ragdoll, some said Himalayan) but he looked exactly like your cat.

Sorry I've been so silent! Things got a bit crazy for me toward the end of the semester. I've got a ton of pictures to post from my absence, not to worry.

I'm sorry I haven't been following your posts about him and don't have time to go back thru the thread. I'm just wondering what kind of cat he is? I had a cat I rescued from a shelter in NM and brought back with me to PA years ago. His name was Ollie - RIP sweet boy. I never was clear on what breed he was (some people said they thought he was Ragdoll, some said Himalayan) but he looked exactly like your cat.

Casper just showed up here one day, so technically he's just a domestic longhair. Like your cat, he has been compared to (or assumed by others to be) a Himalayan or Ragdoll since I started sharing pictures of him online. Personally, because he has a lot of the traits of the breed and there's a breeder of them not too far from here, my strongest suspicion is that he's a Balinese or Balinese mix. But again, I don't have any papers or a DNA test or anything to prove it, so he's considered just a domestic longhair.

This was when I cleaned out my school bag for the semester and hadn't gathered my books and papers off the floor yet. Casper though I was making a new bed for him, I guess

Worn out from playing with his (at the time early) Christmas gift, a little rattle mouse that he loves chasing around.

Lounging on my blankets up in my bed

He does get comfortable, doesn't he?

He followed me into the bathroom one evening when I brushed my teeth for bed, and then he gave me this look (but didn't move, of course) when I asked if he could leave so I could close the door.

He continues not to have a spine

He looked like he had something to say to me here The little tooth poking out

PHEW, hope that covers me for some of those back picture taxes I owe at this point!

Balinese - wow! I never thought about that but in reading the breed traits it sure does seem plausible for my Ollie.

Balinese i did think of. Its actually a dream cat breed that and main coone cat but i probably wont own a cat for a long time. In the meantime my grandparents had a calico kitten dropped off a few months ago, she is definitely blind in one eye but gets along great with the other cats that have been dropped off or are from the mama cat who had kittens. And she looked really young but started gaining some weight and growing.
