Could someone post some pictures of Jersey Giant Rooster cross Light Brahma hens for me? Peeps to adult if you have them please. Mainly doing this for free range meat birds to be butchered at 10-18 months can you give me idea if they will be same ish size as parents or will the be larger thru hybrid vigor of a cross?

The idea sounds awesome! Both are slow growing, however, and Brahmas are slow to feather-out.

I don't know if rooster/hen swap makes a difference those was LB rooster and JG hen I have 30 LBrahma hens already and no JG rooster. Can anyone confirm they cross the same no matter which is the rooster?

This is my roo. Not exactly what you were looking for but thought I'd share. His name is Tux and his dad is a Light Brahma roo and mom is a jersey giant hen and he is maybe 4 months old give or take. A really friendly rooster compared to his hatchmates who are not all the same in color. One brother is black and gold the other is a mix of both.

Interesting color pattern, there seem to be some spangling on the breast, that points out to an interaction between Pg, Ml and Co with E/eWh, Pg and Ml coming from the Jersey Giant dame

So this is my jersey giant Brahma cross about 8-9months. Thinking hen?? Bottom of pecking order just turned red in the comb

I think the white bird is a cockerel. It has pointy hackle feathers.
