Dark Brahma are partridge (pencilled) pattern on a silver base. Buff rooster over dark hens will result in the same sex linkage as buff rooster over light hens. I'm not familiar enough with how the pattern genes works to say what you could expect as to pencilling, partial lacing, or restriction of the black pigment (columbian) though.
Thank you.

So -lets try this again after I questioned myself on what chick came from what egg. I have it marked that this chick came from what we presumed to be a Light Brahma egg.

Our girls are two years old and lay distinct eggs- larger than our others and more pink then cream or tan. Our Black Australorps lay a cream and our one Buff Orpington lays a darker tan egg that almost looks fake it's so shiny.

We do have Easter eggers but they all lay blue to mint green and then we have our Olive Eggers.

As I write this I'm still questioning but I kept track as they were hatching. Had four hatch Sat-- an EE, and two OE-(one has a twin egg) and the Light Brahma egg.

I watched and catalogued, the two darker chicks came out of the darker eggs. The EE was first so easy to notice.

But! Alas, I'm very certain this chick came from this egg (in pics)

If not, then where did he come from because our OE are all grey! Lol

Thanks for listening to me ramble! As last night I kept calling it an EE-- but neither of my mint green eggs hatched. So I was like uuhhh how did we get a pale chick lol

Again, just for fun! I can't wait to see what they look like fully feathered!

You are puzzled by the coloring of the chick? How dark did you expect it to be?

This hatchery has photos of Light Brahma chicks that are almost solid yellow.

This hatchery has a video of Light Brahma chicks that have large amounts of black.

I would say there can be quite a lot of variation in what color a "Light Brahma" chick has. Buff Brahmas are just the gold version of the same color pattern, so they should be able to have an equally large range of variations.

Our lights as chicks were not this color, he's not yellow, he's more tan/gold colored but not patterned like the buffs. And the buffs we have had are nothing like light Brahmas. In our experience.

I'm sure my pictures don't do him justice bc he isn't a yellow variety or even pale variety of coloring. We'll just see what he turns out to be.

I guess when reading about the buff over light I was expecting one way or the other, not an odd colored chick.

Maybe it will be more clear when the chick feathers out. :idunno

If the chick is gold (not silver), and if I'm correctly remembering the list of what's in your flock, it would either be a Buff Brahma or a female sexlink from Buff Brahma father/Light Brahma mother. I suppose that will also become clear in time.

We have Buff Brahmas, two light Brahma, 2 black Australorp, 1 borpington, 4 EE, and several grey olive eggers.

It will be interesting to see them all feathered out that's for certain!
