Just a Hobby Farm: HomesteadHoe

Doctoring our first sick hen. I noticed Honey has been sneezing, headshaking, and has bubbles coming from her nose. We separated her immediately and are treating with Nutri-drench and electrolytes in her water.

She's still eating, drinking, moving around, and otherwise looks healthy so I'm hoping I caught it early! No one else in the flock was showing the same symptoms but I added electrolytes in their water as a little boost.
Poor thing, hope she gets better soon!:hugs

Feeling blessed to still be collecting eggs daily in the winter! Our flock is enjoying the warmer weather and sun today in their run ☀️

We had the cutest stowaway last night when I did night check! This little guy has been around the last 2 weeks. He’s just a baby so we’ve been feeding him and usually sleeps in our barn in between the hay bales.

He must’ve snuck in the coop before the auto door shut. He’s feral so we’re hoping to trap him, neuter him, then release him back on our property where he can be a barn/farm kitty for as long as he’d like to stay!

I think we’ll name him Coop? 😉
