Uggggggh, I think our white silkie is a roo. He/She is about 10 weeks and it's getting what look like streamers? Not the nice round puff on the head.. It's also ALWAYS on high alert, and at the top of the pecking order. It chest bumps with the black one that I also think is a roo. It never really stands up tall though.

Thoughts? I know it can be hard to tell esp with silkies but fun to guess? This is my daughters fav and I REALLY hope not roo, they're also not allowed where I live :(

What about the black one, if you can see in the photo. I've always thought roo. The comb has always been huge and it's also the only one to now have waddles really coming in. I was told this was a silkie but I don't know? It does have hair on it's feet.. it's smaller than my other chickens though but does try to stand up tall sometimes.

Someone give me some false hope...

Sorry about the pictures, my phone is garbage.

Black one is 100% cockerel-your Silkie's mulberry comb is kinda small though-silkie roos are usually really sweet, however. We had a 11 month old black silkie cockerel, he wasn't really all that bad.

I'm still leaning towards cockerel :hit
