Killer snake and broody hen

I just lost all five eggs to a snake that got into the coop and under my broody hen, she had only been sitting on the eggs for three days so I was wondering if I should put more under her. the new eggs I put under her are only 1-3 days old so I’m hoping that works. Would it be best to see if she sits on these new eggs or just wait for her to be broody all over again? Thanks for the kind advise <3

If it has only been a few days, she should sit on the new eggs just fine. Is the snake still an issue?

Thank you. We are re-enforcing The coop right now to hopefully keep them out. My mother refused to kill the snake and let it get awake which I was against

The snake will be back after getting a meal there. 1/2 x 1/2 hardware cloth should keep it out.
