Large Fowl Modern Games

I got my Red Pyle Moderns yesterday from the Superior Farms sell off. They're in pretty rough shape. Looks like they were pretty over crowded. That said, they are really nice birds. The male is the best I've ever seen. I raised these for a few years & regretted selling them off. Glad to have the opportunity to get some again at a reasonable price. Both hens laid thhis morning & they just got here last night.

I love Modern Games but didn't like the size of the bantams, will be looking forward to updates on these!

Moderns are cool! Of all the game breeds these are my favorite though I like the birchen bantams quite a lot. Red pyle is a beautiful color type, good luck with them.

I love my Large Modern Game Chickens. I have a Red Pyle hen that I'm looking for a Roo for her. I also have Silver Duckwing Large Modern Game Chickens. Does anyone have Red Pyle Hatching eggs?

Congrats! I was at a show a few years back and saw some LF moderns that were stunning. Could you fill those of us who don't know what is up with Superior Farms, are they going out of business for good?

Not only are they out of business for good but have been for 2 years. It was a failed experiment. I see others who are basically newcomers to the exhibition world who are trying to do the same thing but are struggling with the idea of what is actual quality and just buying what they hear are show birds and then selling everything that hatches.
The good thing about Superior Farms is that they had money and had Danny Padget overseeing the breeding operations. I do believe that Superior has other livestock operations still going
