And her sister, the same age barely has any kind of comb or wattles. Sigh she’s just such a friendly little chicken, I just dread the cockerel stage. Darn the hormones! With a comb that big and red at 8 weeks, he's looking like a rooster.
Sigh I definitely thought so. Thank you. That's a male
Ya, female leghorns don't really get big combs until close to laying age.Sigh I definitely thought so. Thank you.
Me neither! It confuses us with little sexing know how. Are you familiar with leghorn roosters? Do you know if they’re friendly? Well not friendly exactly but non aggressive?Ya, female leghorns don't really get big combs until close to laying age.
Maybe a little bigger then other breeds but idk why people keep spreading the nonsense about them getting huge combs early on.
I probably have 75 of them give or take and have raised a few hundred others.Me neither! It confuses us with little sexing know how. Are you familiar with leghorn roosters? Do you know if they’re friendly? Well not friendly exactly but non aggressive?
Oh wow!! No I don’t cuddle my roosters either, they take their job too seriously for that. But I’m not attacked by them either. They just kind of chicken around. As long as he doesn’t attack people I.e me, he’s a keeper. Thanks again!I probably have 75 of them give or take and have raised a few hundred others.
I've never had an aggressive one. I don't raise mine to be buddies with though. I don't hand feed them or cuddle with them or anything like that.
