Took Tiny for another car ride to Dutch Bros.
One of the newer girls working there asked if he could have whipped cream and I told her chickens can't have dairy. She said I was such a good chicken mom after I told her I do lots of research.

i got to meet with a chicken vet about the animal science chickens! she seconded all my suggestions, and gave the flock an overall fairly clean bill of health! whatever was up with steve is no longer really an issue, which i'm relieved about, but also a little annoyed that it was looking pretty serious and disappeared by the time we got a vet out. such is the way of animals, i suppose!

@fluffycrow Do you have any flowering Lithops this month? 4 of my 5 are still quiet, the Lithop that did flower is resting, not splitting yet.

I've heard these Feather Cacti can flower late in the season, I was not expecting this gal to flower yet, she's got 4 other buds growing and this one burst open today! I must be doing something right, I do love this cactus!

No lithops blooms for me either. Most of mine are looking extra beat up right now, so I wonder if they'll be skipping a year

I am pretty excited about this cactus, its grown quite a bit over the summer and to flower now is pretty exciting!

Hmmm....I wonder whats up with our Lithops? With the exception of the one of mine that did flower, the others aren't doing anything. Well I hope yours have the strength, hopefully we both see some flowers soon!

Yeah, I don't know what it is. This past year was very hard on them. Summer is typically an escape from the rainy winter months, but this summer was brutal. Totally threw them off. Even my oldest, hardiest lithops look pretty rough. I only have two that look OK. One that flowered and is expected to split soon, and one that has yet to flower. Odd, odd year. I hope our lithops pull through
