Hi all!

Not sure where to ask on this so used the general one.

I had 12 beautiful Australorps that have now dwindled to 3 who are now old maids and are longer laying...

(9 died by: one dropped as a chick by grandchild :(, neighbors dog got 4, dog "disappeared";). Other 3 by potential hawks, foxes, coyotes, eagles and/or fishers. One for certain by a bobcat:he)

Any way, every store in the area: Agway and Blue Seal are NOT selling Australorps this year.
"We wanted to try something new"... and the list they have is the same as it ever was...

These are the most social, docile and hearty birds I have ever had. Love their eggs and production! I want more.

Can someone lead me to a someone, some website that sells the actual Australorps?

Thanks for your help.

Pretty much any hatchery sells black Australorps, they a good basic bird.
I like Mt Healthy or Cackle hatchery, there's also ideal, McMurray and meyers.

Thanks! I think I'll try Mt. Healthy this year. Little more expensive than a few others but read nothing but positive results.
