Hi all! I bought some bantam chicks off of Ideal Poultry and was wondering if anyone could help ID them for me 😊
They are all hatchery choice clean leg bantams. I'm 90% sure #2 is a black Japanese bantam, but not sure on the others!
(#1 and #2 are 2 weeks old. #3 and #4 are less than a week old so maybe still too young to guess)

1-Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantam
2-Black Old English Game Bantam or Black Japanese Bantam. Time and leg color will eventually make this very obvious
3-Self Blue Old English Game Bantam
4-Red Pyle Old English Game Bantam if I'm correct and its first wing feathering is white?

The legs look to be slightly green which are the wrong color for red ply oegb and the chick looks to have muffs
I'm honestly not seeing a beard and muffs. Compare it to the black chick. I think it's just the angle. Chick legs colors are not accurate in terms of adult leg color. It takes a few weeks for the true leg color to show. I think if anything this chick may also be a Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantam. I can't guarantee this but I'm not convinced this is an EE

I agree with parts of both of the top guess.
1- Buff Black Tailed japanese bantam
2-Black Molted Japanese bantam
3-Blue Old English Game Bantam (for sure)
4-I also and leaning toward Buff Black Tailed japanese for the last one.

Here are my White Black Tailed Japanese bantams now. One has more black than the other. They are about to be 4 weeks old Monday. This picture was a week ago.. Both Just started having way more Black. I'll take more when I get down stairs.

If the last had festhered feet i would lean more toward a buff cochin. That one does have me scratching my head a bit. These are the two buff breeds I have right now. I have the white black tailed japanese the first pics and Buff cochin bantams. I have 2 of those and a red. And a red frizzle cochin bantam. They were all very similar as week old babies. Just a bit more gold than the 2 japanese.
