do you raise emus ? I use thier feathers in alot different crafts . I used to raise emus also -- I sold the eggs for crafts a lady used to buy them from me for $10. each , she told me they have 5 layers of color . She would carve them and make fancy boxes out of them . line the inside and such . I don't have the room on my little farm for them . I do miss them though they were interesting to watch . ~~ I have some going in the show also -- not really sure how they'll do but thought it would be fun . Cann't wait to meet those I haven't in person . ~~~ Tammy

At least it won't be ridiculously hot tomorrow. Yesterday was a bit much.

I'm going to stop by at some point to say hi and check out all the birds. Unfortunately none of ours were in decent enough condition to bring.

Staying home today to finish up some show stuff and resting a little, woke up with a severe sore throat and a headache, allergy season has hit lol... See everyone tomorrow

Still trying to sort out what to bring to sell....

Bantam cochins haven't been selling too well lately. Everyone seems to want standard sized egg layers! But I'll bring a few.

I do have five buff orpington chicks that are almost three months old now (hatched from Nancy's eggs) - I 'll bring them, since I have more large fowl chicks that I'm keeping for next year.

And a few d'Uccles to sell. I'm curious to see if there is any interest in the breed.

Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

I final finish with bathing 11 chickens! I won't be selling anything this year, going to wait an do a couple more swaps.
Anyone who is interested in Black Astrolops, New Hampshire Reds (sexed- ALL PULLETS), I also have Silver Laced Wyndottes (not sexed). All going on 2 weeks old. I also have Mammoth Bronze Turkeys - age 2 weeks.

See ya @ the Show!

My husband and I are planning on heading over in the morning from Waldoboro. We are looking to add some Serama bantams to our small flock and perhaps pick up a few more Ameraucana's. Does anyone know if there may be some of those varieties available? We are hoping to at least make some contacts even if there aren't any at the show! This will be our first visiti to a show and we are really looking forward to it!
