I have three females, and one male duck and my duck will only mate the one female who wants nothing to do with him. The other females are flirting with him, while the one is basically on the other side of the yard but he always hunt her down he won’t touch the others, and the female is loosing feathers on her neck and wings, and I assume soon injury any ideas

You can try separating the female to a different area so she can recover and grow back some feathers and see if his attention will go to the other females in the meantime. But I would be doubtful that once you return her with the flock that he would keep his love spread out. Some drakes pick a favorite and so they're the ones that need to be separated. Unless you're very attached to this Drake, I would see about getting a new male, or figure out some kind of rotation system so that his favorite female gets a break frequently.

Being this hen does not want to be by him, he may be trying to put his claim on her. If it is to the point of her in danger of injury I would remove the drake. Removing the hen may result in all birds picking on her when you return her to the flock. The drake will likely quickly reestablish himself in the group when returned.

I had a male duck and no females for a while. He would chose to mate with one female chicken (low in pecking order.) He would follow and "blab" with the head female chicken but not mate with her. I had a wood duck someone gave me, he would not mate a particular small brown chicken but would follow her about and blab at her.

My Mallard/Rouen Drake only has one female out of 9 that he takes the feathers off of her head and he made her bleed so he is in a separate pen away from her. He only likes her the best and always has. Sometimes they only take to one hen, I have thought about rehoming him but he is a favorite of the Grandsons and me so that makes it a hard decision. He seems fine being separated and by my 4 Call Drakes that also cannot get to the Hens because of over mating.
