Hi! So I originally dna sexed all of my silkies and supposedly the ones I have now are all female. However, there is one chick I am a bit confused on. She has developed her wattle a bit earlier that the others and has been making odd sounds. It’s not a crow or a chirp, honestly it is in the middle. This is my first time owning chicks and I don’t know how they go about finding their adult voice. She seems to have a slightly larger and a bit more pink comb than the others. Is it possible that she was dna’d wrong or can Silkie pullets appear this way? I know for a fact I sent in my eggshell samples in correctly as they were separated immediately and marked.
I can post better pictures later but the chick in question is Rosita.
