Male or female?

I have to agree with Sourland. A 9 week old pullet wouldn't have a comb and wattles like that. Either it's a pullet much older than 9 weeks or that's a cockerel. The pointy male-specific hackle and saddle feathers will come in a little later.

We all have our opinions based on the knowledge we acquired after our own experiences. I have posted on here asking male or female. 90% of the guesses were incorrect. I read all opinions and even though i may disagree, I try to learn from them.

That bird is in a much further stage of development from the bird from the original post. Also, it's a Mediterranean layer breed.

Time will tell, as it always does, but there's no doubt in my mind that the barred rock x Faverolles is a cockerel.

I would love an update when he/she is confirmed! I'm always learning and willing to admit when I'm wrong.
